January saw a period of viciously cold weather, making outdoor birding and sketching in particular very difficult. Took the opportunity to work on some black ink drawings, which I based on field sketches and used a favoured 0.7mm fine black ballpoint pen to complete. These are drawn very carefully in light pencil before the ink is added, upon completion I then carefully erase the pencil lines to clean up the final drawing.
