Eider FieldsketchAn example of a field sketch developing directly into a canvas painting, though it took time to come to fruition The pencil fieldsketch was made on the evening of October 4th 2006 on Sandhamn, an island in the stockholm archipelago. I was really active through the winter birding, though eventually went back to the sketch and painted it in acrylic on canvas in June 2007.
