Yellowhammer
A day out at the reserve saw a Grey Plover as the surprise, not a commonly seen species in the area, took the oppurtunity to take a few sketches. The stubble fields were full of Yellowhamers feeding on seed and I spent an hour on them in the afternoon, hundreds of them rolling over the fields was a lovely sight, one now all to rare in Ireland, where the species is declining alarmingly for some years now...
